A motorcycle rider had to face death when a high-speed train sped through a railway crossing in India as he tried to cross the border.
CCTV footage from Mumbai on February 12 shows a motorcyclist spotting the express train at the last moment.
He managed to jump off the motorcycle moments before being destroyed by the locomotive.
As he swerved off the road, the motorcycle was completely destroyed by the speeding Raidhani Express.
A man was driving at a railway crossing in Maharashtra, Mumbai, when he saw a train approaching at high speed from the left.
The man jumps off his bike, leaving it on the railroad tracks and right in the path of the train.
Less than a second after he jumped to the side, the train destroyed the bike.
Several pedestrians and motorcyclists stopped at the crossing, but the motorcyclist apparently thought he had enough time to cross the road before the train arrived.
However, as he started to cross the road, a CCTV camera showed his motorcycle’s brake light coming on before the man looked to his left.
He stopped and jumped off his bike as the train raced into frame.
The train slammed into the front of the motorcycle, causing the wreckage to spin but did not seem to slow down.
The man, avoiding a collision with a train, got to his feet and walked back along the empty rails, away from the rushing train.
Footage of Saturday’s incident was widely circulated on the Internet.
One spectator said that the motorcyclist “must be in a hurry to meet God.”
Others have suggested that the level crossing should have been guarded.
Seconds later, the man was back on his feet, leaving the remains of his bike between two tracks.
