He continued: “I think they will, but they say and make sure they want to intervene.

“It’s a big commitment and they will come to us and let us know what they think, but I feel good.”

Kim Cattrall, who played Samata Jones, the fourth member of the show’s close-knit group of friends, chose not to reprise her role in the revival amid a highly publicized feud with Parker.

However, the series generated a huge buzz, with its first episode being the most-watched premiere of a new HBO Max original.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview with Variety, Parker indicated that she and King are looking forward to a second season.

When asked if she wanted the show renewed, Parker replied, “Definitely, yes.”

She continued: “Michael and I talked two weeks ago and said, ‘Okay, when are we going to talk about this?’ Because there is a calendar and you don’t want too much time to pass. It feels like there is momentum.”

During his interview with Deadline, Bloys also confirmed that Chris Noth would not be returning for a second season.

Not’s character Mr. Big died in the premiere episode, and the actor’s appearance in the finale was cut due to allegations of sexual assault.

Bloys explained, “They were in the editing process when it all came out.”

He continued, “The important thing is that it wasn’t necessary for him to be in that scene, since you’ve now seen the ending, it didn’t make or break the show in any way.

“I think it was an easy decision because… it’s obvious that his character is dead and we don’t have any more memories of him. So it doesn’t affect the decision for the second season.”

Bloys also wondered if viewers could expect Cattrall to return to his role.

In the series, it was revealed that Samantha had moved to London and had a falling out with her friends.

Samantha and Carrie had multiple text messaging during the series’ run, including in the season finale.

However, Bloys told Deadline that Cattrall’s return to the show was unlikely.

He said, “I don’t think [she’d return].

“I think they handled it very sensitively and very well. I do not expect such conversations.
