Months after her departure from The View, DailyMail.com columnist Megan McCain is still being hit hard by Joy Behar.
McCain, 37, responded to Behar, 79, on Monday after Joy went out of her way to troll Meghan’s affectionate Valentine’s Day post to her husband Ben.
Criticizing her former The View co-star, Meghan shared a screenshot of Joy’s comment that was deleted and called Joy “pathetic”.
Brawl: Meghan McCain, 37, hit back at Joy Behar, 79, on Monday after Joy went out of her way to troll Meghan’s affectionate post on Valentine’s Day to her husband Ben.
“Happy Valentine’s Day Ben @bdomenech, I love you and am grateful every day for our life together,” Meghan’s original tweet read. Along with the post, the blonde commentator shared a cute photo with her husband.
Every Feb. 14, it’s pretty common for couples to share favorite photos and posts on social media, so McCain’s post was certainly nothing out of the ordinary.
However, one user didn’t feel the love and responded, “Does all thoughts and feelings have to be on Twitter?” This question prompted a cold response from Behar, who replied, “Obviously.”
Joy went further and removed the one-word excavation, but not before it was seen by McCain, who photographed the exchange.

Terms of endearment: It’s fairly common for couples to share favorite photos and messages on social media every February 14th, so McCain’s message was certainly not out of the ordinary.
Rude! One user did not feel loved and responded to Meghan on Twitter, prompting Joy to rush into the fray with a nasty comment, which she later deleted.
Meghan retweeted it to her followers, writing the message, “Imagine spending your Valentine’s Day trolling your former colleagues on Twitter about her husband.”
When Fox host Janice Dean tweeted that Joy couldn’t “dump” her, Meghan responded, “It’s pathetic and it scares me.”
There is no lost love between Joy and Meghan, who fought frequently on The View until McCain’s departure from the show over the summer. And while their fiery squabbles led to higher ratings, McCain later revealed in her memoir, The Bad Republican, that they were hurtful.
During one particularly tense conversation with Behar after Meghan returned from maternity leave, the comedian snapped at McCain for interrupting her during a segment.
“Sorry, I told you,” Joy said at the time.
Above it: Meghan shared a screenshot of Joy’s comment and called her former co-host “trolling.”
Taking it one step further, in another tweet, Meghan called Joy’s comment “pathetic” and said “it scares” her.
“You missed me so much Joy, you missed me while I was on maternity leave,” Megan Joy said in the clip. “You missed me so much. You missed fighting me!
“I didn’t do it,” Behar replied coolly. “I didn’t miss you. Zero.’
In her memoir, McCain explained that her comments were meant to try to ease a tense moment on the second day of her return from maternity leave, but after Joy’s blunt response, she “burst into tears.”
“Joy seemed to smell this vulnerability the way a shark smells blood in water, and went after her. When we were interrupted because of the commercial, I burst into tears – not that she burst into tears – uncontrollable sobs, ”McCain wrote.
Tension: There’s no lost love between Joy and Meghan, who fought frequently on The View up until McCain’s departure from the show over the summer.
Adding: “Up until this point, it didn’t even cross my mind that Joy didn’t miss me. She texted me to see a baby photo of Svoboda and seemed to be happy for me. We had a friendly chat. I believe that, despite all our differences, deep down we had a mutual understanding of respect for each other.
McCain left the show in July 2021 after claiming other hosts, especially Whoopi Goldberg and Behar, turned their backs on her.
In September, Meghan reflected on her decision to leave the show in an exclusive meeting with DailyMailTV.
“I felt like I was really happy to do it on my own terms because a lot of people get fired from this show,” she said at the time.
“I was happy that I was able to make a decision and control my life. And you know, The View was and still is incredible and gave me so much,” she explained. “I don’t feel anything negative about it. But I’m also very proud that I know when to hold them and when to fold them, like I’m that kind of player.”
After her departure from The View, McCain was brought on to run her own opinion column on DailyMail.com, where a political commentator and author gives her unfiltered opinion on the news.
