Barack and Michelle Obama write love notes to each other on Valentine’s Day

The Obamas celebrate Valentine’s Day with characteristically beloved Instagram posts.

On this afternoon, Obama, 60, shared a photo of Michelle and himself dancing at the 2013 inaugural ball, writing: “Happy Valentine’s Day Michelle! With a smile that lights up the world, you are truly one of a kind. Today and always, I am grateful to have you in my life.”

Michelle, 58, soon retaliated by uploading a more laid-back shot of the couple on the street in what appeared to be Hawaii.

“I feel so lucky to be able to spend every day with this guy,” she wrote. “Happy Valentine’s Day, Barak! For all the adventures we have ahead of us.

While photos of the couple at the inaugural ball have been seen before, the photo taken in Hawaii seems brand new.

Most recently, the Obamas were in the former president’s home state for Christmas and New Years.

In the photo, Michelle is wearing a T-shirt and leggings, her hair is hidden under a baseball cap.

The Obamas, who tied the knot on October 3, 1992, often shared affectionate posts about each other on birthdays, anniversaries and Valentine’s Day.

Most recently in January, Obama celebrated Michelle’s 58th birthday by sharing a sweet snap of him kissing her smiling cheek as a beautiful sunset plays out behind them.
